Where can I purchase a Buzzrack from?
You can order online directly from our website, with options for Click and Collect at participating locations. What size hitch receiver do I need for a Buzzrack hitch-mounted rack?
All Buzzrack hitch-mounted racks require a 2-inch tow bar receiver.
Will I be able to fit an e-bike on a Buzzrack?
Yes, Buzzrack offers two models designed for e-bikes: the E-Scorpion and the E-Hornet. However, each rack has a maximum weight limit, so it's important to check your e-bike's weight before loading.
What is the weight capacity of Buzzrack products?
Buzzrack models vary in capacity, with racks that carry from 15 kg up to 60 kg. Always check the product specifications and your vehicle’s limits before loading.
Will I still be able to open my car’s rear boot door with the rack on?
Many Buzzrack models include a tilt function that allows rear boot access while the rack is mounted. However, this function can be restricted depending on your vehicle's make and model.
INSTALLATION & USE
My tow ball-mounted rack isn’t tightening properly - what should I do?
Ensure the top clamp tension locking knob is in the unlocked position before tightening. The rack must be correctly aligned and securely fitted for safe use.
Will I need to fit a light board and license plate to my rack?
A license plate is a legal requirement and must be fitted to all bike racks in all states of Australia. Rear lights are only required in some states, unless your vehicle’s taillights are blocked by the bikes on the rack - in which case, a light board is also necessary.
What is the 60% overhang law and how does it affect me?
The 60% overhang law refers to regulations limiting the rear overhang on vehicles. Here are the key points about law and how it relates to Buzzrack bike racks:
- The rear overhang must not exceed the lesser of:
- 60% of the vehicle’s wheelbase, or
- 3.7 metres
- The rear overhang is measured from the centre of the rear axle to the extreme rear of the vehicle, including any load or attachments.
- This law applies to most vehicles, including those with bike racks.
- Whether your setup complies depends on:
- Your vehicle’s wheelbase
- The length of the bike rack when extended
- The size of the bikes being carried
- Smaller vehicles with shorter wheelbases are more likely to exceed the 60% limit when carrying multiple bikes.
- Although this rule was originally designed for vehicle design limits, it is now enforced on temporary attachments like bike racks as well.
- If the overhang exceeds the legal limit, your vehicle may be non-compliant, which could lead to legal issues or fines.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
How long does shipping take?
All orders (including Click & Collect) are dispatched from our Victorian warehouse. Shipping times vary based on your location but typically take 2-7 business days. You'll receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Can I return my Buzzrack if I change my mind?
Yes, Buzzrack Australia accepts change-of-mind returns within 30 days of purchase, provided that the item is in a resaleable condition and in the original packaging with minimal damage.
To request a return, log in to your account and click “Request return” on your order. If you’re unable to do this or need help, please contact our support team.
We understand that returning bulky items like car racks can be a hassle. That’s why, for online orders, we recommend Click & Collect:
a) it saves you from shipping fees, and
b) if you need to return the item, you can drop it off at the store where you collected your order.

How much is shipping?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and the size and weight of your order. Because bike racks are bulky and require special handling, shipping fees are typically higher than standard parcel deliveries.
We’re transparent about these costs and display them before you complete your purchase. If you'd prefer to avoid shipping fees, Click & Collect is available free of charge through our network of Buzzrack dealers across Australia. What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?
If your order arrives damaged or you believe there’s a fault, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos. We'll assess the issue and organise a replacement or repair under warranty if applicable.
WARRANTY & SUPPORT
What is the warranty period for Buzzrack products?
Buzzrack products come with a 2-year warranty on the rack’s frame and 1-year warranty on accessories.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Warranty claims should be submitted by the original store of purchase on behalf of the customer to Buzzrack Australia. If you purchased your rack from a retail dealer, please contact that store directly to begin the claim process.
For online orders placed through buzzrack.com.au, you can contact our customer support team to initiate your warranty claim. We'll guide you through the next steps and help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
I have acquired a Buzzrack second hand, will it still be covered under warranty?
No. Buzzrack’s warranty only applies to the original owner and is not transferable.
Does Buzzrack have replacement parts if needed?
Yes! We stock replacement parts for any current Buzzrack models. Contact us with your Buzzrack model name for assistance.
